Unlock Productivity and Collaboration with Microsoft’s New App Loop!

Microsoft has officially released Microsoft Loop, a new app for productivity and collaboration. During the announcement, the company highlighted its similarities to the popular app Notion. To enhance its appeal, Loop incorporates Copilot, Microsoft’s AI tools, into Microsoft 365. Currently, there are two versions available: the web version for commercial customers and the mobile app version for consumer customers. This app aims to provide users with a smooth workflow experience and facilitate collaboration on projects.

But what sets Microsoft Loop apart from Notion is its native integration with other Microsoft software. One example is taking Loop pages and quickly sharing them in Teams or Outlook without having to go through five different steps. But that’s not all it has to offer. Let’s take a closer look at its features.

Note that the online version of Loop for consumer customers is still in public preview, according to a report by The Verge.

Microsoft Loop is here

The versatile productivity tool has a minimalist interface, but is eerily similar to Notion, right down to the quick tools and formatting options. It is divided into three separable parts, which are loop components, loop pages, and loop workspaces.

Components can be understood as widgets that allow users to collaborate using different tools such as lists, tables or complex data sets from Dynamic 365. This information is always synchronized between Microsoft 365, the company says. This enables real-time collaboration between different members who want to access or make changes to the data while keeping everyone up to date.

Loop pages are a space where a user can detail a project using data, links and files. It’s like a canvas where users can use their creativity and efficiency to arrange their components to create a seamless experience. Similarly, the Loop workspace is a collaborative space where several members can sit on a dashboard and work together on a project.

In addition to this, the commercial version of the platform also gets Copilot to help it create pages, where it can create new pages by learning from past projects and using its own creative abilities to suggest suitable templates. Co-pilot also helps with workspace flow, as it can track the progress of other team members and share these insights with you.
